How to get rid of art block: Step One: Choose a random pairing. Step Two: Listen to Disney music on loop for as long as possible. Step Three: DRAW THAT SHIT! This is how this drawing came about while I was having some serious Sherlock withdrawals, I was listening to random songs, and "Kiss the Girl" came on. I thought: "Hmm. This would be a fun Johnlock crack idea. Sherlock could be Eric, since he talks so much and John (as Ariel) is just plain fascinated with him and everything he says." Then this happened. Sadly--well honestly I knew it wouldn't when I painted it--the paper was too big to scan with my itty-bitty scanner, so the only way I could hope to complete it on Photoshop was to take pictures of it. I immediately regretted my decision to painting it on big paper, because you can't see the details in the painting and the expressions on their faces!!!! Augh!!! Sloppy art is sloppy. Not even gonna try to paint this shit again as the BG for this was a bitch to do and I don't think there's even a hope of duplicating what I'd done. Whatever. I painted the BG, Sherlock, John, the boat, the fish, and the water all in gouche/watercolor, while the rest was added in Photoshop.
"There you see him Sitting there across the way He don't got a lot to say But there's something about him And you don't know why but you're dying to try You wanna kiss the boy. Sitting there across the way
He don't got a lot to say
But there's something about him
And you don't know why but you're dying to try
You wanna kiss the boy.
Shalalalala
My oh my
Looks like a boy's too shy
Ain't gonna kiss the boy
Shalalalala
Ain't that sad?
Ain't it a shame?
Too bad, he gonna miss the boy."
